Focal vitreomacular traction (VMT).

Color retinography (CLARUS 500, Zeiss): Small drusen with a slight increase in macular brightness.

OCT (Cirrus-HD 6000, Zeiss) (A): Focal foveal vitreomacular traction with alteration of the outer layers.

Description

Focal vitreomacular traction (VMT). Vitreomacular adhesions may resolve spontaneously or evolve into VMT when an anatomical distortion of the macular architecture appears. VMTs are usually symptomatic, causing blurred vision and metamorphopsia depending on the severity. In the same way as vitreomacular adhesions, they can be classified according to their size into focal (< 1500 µm) or diffuse (> 1500µm).
