Color retinography: rounded, yellowish lesion located subfoveally in both eyes associated with hard drusen in vascular arcades
It is characterized by the presence of rounded, bilateral, yellowish lesions with subfoveal localization. The vitelliform lesions are mainly composed of photoreceptor debris, possibly as a result of defective phagocytosis by the retinal pigment epithelium. Patients may present symptoms of blurred vision or mild metamorphopsia.
