Color retinography (CLARUS 500, Zeiss): Alterations at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium and thickness defect in the macular location.
Lamellar macular hole is a vitreoretinal disorder characterized by an irregular foveal contour, a tear in the inner layers, dehiscence of the inner retina with respect to the outer retina, and the absence of a full-thickness foveal defect with intact foveal photoreceptors. Symptoms may vary, with decreased visual acuity and metamorphopsia being characteristic.
